Getting the right size means that you’re not wasting money on space that you don’t need. Here are a few things to consider when choosing a storage unit.
1 – Take inventory
Before you start looking at the different sizes available, take an inventory of the things you’ll be placing into storage. If you have large items, measure them. Measuring smaller items can be a little complicated, but an easier way to do this is to store all the small items into a box and then to measure the box itself.

The height of a storage unit differs across storage facilities. An average height is approximately 8 feet. Always ask to find out the height of the unit as this will determine whether you will have more overall space or not.
